It wasn't too bad on normal, I thought the first fight in Bioshock 1 with a Big Daddy was much harder, bascially I just kept shocking her and moving a lot while shooting away. What I did was find a small room with a vent (when you release the last little sister, the Big Sister comes) and I made sure I had 2 security bots and the plasmid that repairs the bots.
It took the best mechanics of the first game (Big Daddy fights, plasmids) and expanded on them perfectly (Big Daddy fights --> Little Sister protection --> Big Sister fight, plasmid and weapon dual-wielding). I played at hard difficulty and big sisters were hardy. Meanwhile Big Sisters appear once Daddies fail and you save/harvest each Sister on a given level.

I'm currently on my first playthrough of BioShock 2, and am starting to fret a little about the All Research trophy.
